Set it up to run your indoor air quality fan at a quiet, low, background speed part of every hour or all day long, 24/7 as ASHRAE 62.2-2007 recommends. Push the tactile front panel button and it jumps up to full speed for twenty minutes and the button glows BLUE. Then it drops back, quietly into the background. Add an auxiliary switch in a second bathroom and they both glow BLUE when you push either button.

If your bathroom fan and light are on the same switch, you have an occupancy sensor! When you turn on the light, the fan turns on because it "assumes" there is someone in the bathroom. When you turn the light off, the fan goes off, and that's not very smart because the humidity remains in the bathroom for a long time. Think about the damp towels and the water running down the walls of the shower. This is a SMART switch. It knows better than to shut the fan off. You can tell it what you want it to do.
