Hoods for ducting this size usually extend quite a way out from the building surface in order to accomodate the amount of airflow. This vent uses multiple openings, similar to a louvered hood, but it includes integral screens to keep the animals out. The backdraft dampers can be removed so the vent can be used as an intake vent. These are particularly suited for use with HRV or ERV. By removing (6) screws, the hood can be removed for cleaning even after installation.
