In-line, 10" fan capable of moving 588 cubic feet per minute through 10" diameter ducting. Think about it! You want to move a bunch of air from point A to point B like from the inside of a garage through a duct to the outside of the garage or the air from an air handler into a remote room. That's almost 600 cubic feet of air per minute (although it will be less than that when you add the ducting, grille, hood, etc. - maybe 450. But that's still a lot of air.) Put it on a thermostat switch or a pressure switch and it will come on and go off automatically. Put that in your duct!

The FR100 is an in-line duct fan that moves 100 Cubic Feet Per Minute (CFM). Well, it's sort of THE in-line duct fan that moves 100 cubic feet of air per minute. It's been around a long time, working hard, getting the job done. What's an in-line duct fan? It's a fan that is engineered to be in the middle of the ducting somewhere. It uses a motorized impeller that is ideal for pushing and pulling the air through the ducting. Axial or propeller fans are horrible for that task. They don't like the resistance of the ducting. We've used these FR100's for all sorts of applications like:
-
Boosting the flow from a dryer (although there are systems for this now);
-
Exhausting a bathroom (mounted remotely from the bathroom it's really quiet);
-
Exhausting radon gas (not a good thing to have in your home);
-
Boosting the flow in a HVAC supply duct (one of them for a three story run).
It's a terrific, all-around utility fan.

The newest dryer booster system from Fantech. This thing is great! No really, it is. If you think your dryer is on its last legs and drying cycles are taking forever, this dryer booser could be the answer. (It could be your dryer as well. If it's been there forever and you have never cleaned out the lint trap, well it could be the dryer.) We have an electric dryer and this thing has cut the drying time in half. That's a huge electrical savings. The nifty blue LED lets us know that the booster fan is running otherwise we couldn't tell.

The Fantech RVF4 wall mounted exhaust fan puts the fan on the outside of the building along with any fan noise. RVF4 is the fan and the hood in one installation. Ducting runs from the grille in the room to the back of the fan. If fan noise is critical, a speed control can be added or a ducting muffler.
We have used RVF4s to ventilate crawl spaces and range hoods.

The air moving through a dryer sometimes just doesn't have enough oompf to get through the clothes, the lint filter, the twists and turns in the ducting, all the way through the hood to the outside of the building. All that resistance slows down the air flow and slows the rate that the clothes dry. That means longer dryer run times and higher cost. This dryer booster from Fantech is easily installed in the ducting to the outside (I've done it). It plugs into a standard outlet. It has a small hose that inserts into the ducting that senses the pressure and automatically turns on the fan. It has a 5 year warranty, and . . . well, it works. Can't ask for more than that.

The FR140 is an in-line duct fan that moves about 200 Cubic Feet Per Minute (CFM). It depends on the ducting and the installation details exactly how much air it will move. It's performance is Certified by HVI testing - 214 cfm sitting there on the counter, about 180 cfm installed. Like the FR100, it's been around a long time, working hard, getting the job done. What's an in-line duct fan? It's a fan that is engineered to be in the middle of the ducting somewhere. It uses a motorized impeller that is ideal for pushing and pulling the air through the ducting. Exhausting a bathroom (mounted remotely from the bathroom it's really quiet);
-
Exhausting radon and soil gas (not good things to have in your home);
-
Boosting the flow in a HVAC supply duct.
It's a work-horse, all-around utility fan for connection to 6" ducting.

The FG6 is an air-tight, steel in-line duct fan that moves 303 Cubic Feet Per Minute (CFM). The FG series fans replace the FX series. We've used the FG6's for all sorts of applications like:

Boosting the flow from a dryer (although there are systems for this now)
-
Venting a range hood;
